What you get
Everything a Small Company Has to File
For a small limited company, our year-end accounts and Corporation Tax return start from £400 a year. That covers the statutory accounts filed at Companies House and the Corporation Tax return filed with HMRC. Bookkeeping, VAT returns, payroll and the directors’ own Self Assessment returns are added as you need them, each with its own starting price, so you only pay for what the company actually uses.

Your personal returns prepared alongside the company accounts, so salary and dividends are reported consistently.

Key dates
The Deadlines a Limited Company Works To
Every payday
Payroll reported to HMRC through Real Time Information on or before the day staff, including directors on payroll, are paid.
Each VAT quarter
VAT returns filed digitally and paid, if the company is VAT registered.
9 months and 1 day after the year end
Corporation Tax payment due for most small companies. The return itself has a separate, later deadline.
Companies House accounts deadline
Set by your year end and filing history, and different for a company’s first accounts. We confirm your exact dates from the Companies House record.
Rules and thresholds change, so we confirm the dates that apply to you individually.
How it works
From First Call to Filed
Step 1
Free 30-minute call
We talk through the company, its year end and what is already in place, then agree a fixed fee.
Step 2
Take-over or set-up
If you are switching, we handle the handover with your previous accountant. If you are new, we set up Xero and your HMRC agent access.
Step 3
Through the year
Bookkeeping, VAT and payroll run on their own cycles, so year end is a summary, not a scramble.
Step 4
Year end
Accounts and Corporation Tax prepared, reviewed with you, approved and filed on time.
FAQ
Questions, Answered.
How much does an accountant cost for a limited company?
Our limited company accounts and Corporation Tax return start from £400 a year. Directors’ Self Assessment returns, payroll, VAT returns and bookkeeping are priced separately, so check what any quote actually covers when you compare firms.
Can you take over from my current accountant part-way through the year?
Yes. We contact your previous accountant for the handover, collect the records we need and pick up the filings from there, so nothing is missed.
Do you use Xero?
Yes, we are a Xero Partner and also work with QuickBooks. If the company is not on cloud software yet, we can set it up and show you how to use it.
Is a limited company better than being a sole trader?
It depends on your profit level, how much you draw out personally and your plans for the business. We can go through it on a free call before you decide, and our guide to sole trader vs limited company accounts covers what changes.
